We've seen Les a couple of times here in Atlanta now, but we've always missed his shows at Roo (except for Oysterhead) . . . I'm excited to get to see him at a festival!

I need to find a way to this festival! It's killing me. Everytime I hear more news about Echo Project it just makes me want to go even more. Can somebody buy me a ticket and find me a ride to and from Virginia?
Well, this has pretty much convinced me I must go --- apparently the Flaming Lips are gonna happen!
Flaming Lips, Clap Your Hands sign on for Echo Project
By SHANE HARRISON The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Published on: 08/10/2007 The Flaming Lips and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah are the latest names joining the lineup at this fall's Echo Project, the new South Fulton-based music and arts festival. Thursday, organizers announced more new acts: Thievery Corporation Live, Les Claypool, the Bravery, Secret Machines, MSTRKFRT, JJ Grey & Mofro, Son Volt, the Egg, the Album Leaf, Man Man, Tea Leaf Green, the Benevento-Russo Duo, Lazaro Casanova and Telepath. The first batch of acts — including the Killers, former Grateful Dead bassist Phil Lesh, the Roots and Cat Power — were revealed last week. The event will take place Oct. 12-14 on a nearly 350-acre site along the Chattahoochee River along the border between Fulton and Douglas counties. Early bird tickets ($120) are still on sale at www.the-echoproject.com and 1-800-594-TIXX
This is going to be fun

if the lips being added on is true we are gonna see some flaming lips with cat power hopefully doing war pigs and maybe the lips with thievery corporation. so is this mean they get the last headlining spot ?
well thats cool. im not that into the f'lips but im betting it will help convince some friends to come. my sister and i are ordering our tickets this weekend. has anyone heard anything about stage setup? im figuring it will be more like all good with no overlapping music then roo with multiple stages at once. i hope so. i hate conflicts!!

I'm still hoping for a miracle to come around. I think I've scrounged up the money for it, but I have absolutely no way of getting to the festival or back and I'm not gonna buy a ticket until that happens. How come all my friends suck and won't go to the festival. I even offered to buy a friend beer whenever he wants until next summer if he either goes with or lends me his car and he said no. I thought it was a swell offer...

I've already said it somewhere, but we're going to drive out to the farm and get some pics of the site this weekend. I'll post them as soon as I get back.

Same boat here strum.... I could swing a ticket no problem but the wheels would not survive another trip to Atlanta. Unless a miracle happens, I guess I will have to wait until next year.

I GOT MY TICKET!!!!!!!!!!!
What a damn good price, too. For all of those bands and a line up that just keeps getting better and better. Not to mention the venue sounds beautiful.
I'm moving to Athens on Tuesday for school, but I only have class Monday through Thursday. This works out great for me because I can get my work done and pack up my stuff on the 11th, then drive south for an hour and a half or so and I'm there! It's so close to me, I'M SO FU!KING PUMPED!!!!
.....And the farm is private. So Johnny Law won't be there in masses.
