Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Is it just my imagination or does it seem like Les is giving an extra big fuckyou to SuperFly & Ashley "The Devil" Capps? The "Mayor Of Bonnaroo" skipped the legendary "center" of the summer festivals this year, even though he was in the immediate area and totally free on Thursday. Now he's signed-on to play this upstart festival (obviously meant to challenge Roo) in virtually the same damn place.
I know that he has said that, in the past, one of the biggests reasons he was drawn to Roo was the lack of corporate sponsorship.
Coincidence? You decide.
Edit: OOPS! I accidentally signed on to Hilari's account. Sorry. So, just for the record, that was my (SweetEvilJesus, Josh, Frank Studly, OatmealSchnappz, etc..) question.

yeah i was wondering why he played ever festival but bonnaroo this year and he was here in atlanta the night before roo coulda easily made it up to there i did
I was very upset that Claypool didn't play Roo. I was hoping for a suprise appearence that never came to pass. I'm not a HUGE fan, but his weirdness adds a spicy flavor to the feel of a fest.
I thought that his absence was perhaps because roo was gaining in popularity so much and he didn't want to be a part of that. With Tool on the lineup, it really brought a disheartening and slightly (dare I say it?) white trash feel to the summer classic. Tool fans seem more prone to want to stomp someone's face in rather than give out hugs.
But on another subject--- Why the Killers? Jesus Christ. Please put them on a small stage and give the Spree the huge time-slot!
"All in all, the creative act is not performed by the artist alone.. the spectator brings the work in contact with the external world by deciphering and interpreting its inner qualifications and thus adds his contribution to the creative act." -- Marcel Duchamp
alright i traced back to where i found the info www.jambase.com/headsup.asp?storyID=11014 and the quote is from this guy on 7/23 a little before it was announced "echo project is going to be a huge festie outside outside atlanta. bisco, phil, umph, white stripes, tom york or whatever the dude from radioheads name is. heard it here first folks"u so maybe we got the white stripes and thom yorke to be added in the future.
i would love to go . but my girlfriend ( my festival buddy) is a schoolteacher and school will be in session. it looks like a no go for us . although bonnaroo is just 290 some odd days away . to you that go . enjoy enjoy enjoy .

I am a teacher also and that is why I cant afford to go! I have to plan now to save for Bonnaroo. I wouldn't change being a teacher for anything...but damn...we dont make nutz!
I dont see how people go see so much music. Its a major expense for me to go to a show a month!
It's not every day that you get such a sweet festival dropped into your backyard. You won't be able to forgive yourself if you miss it.
I know, but it is all a matter of money and getting back to school all the way down in Valdosta in a reasonable amount of time.
But I do get the Wanee Music Festival 40 miles south of Valdosta. So its not so bad.
I feel your pain man... I'm in the same situation for the most part... the catch... I go to school in Raleigh, NC and I just happen to have a n 8 o'clock class on monday...
to echo Augustwest, does anyone know how one would get there from the airport?
The VIP package includes shuttle service from the airport. I imagine they will have shuttles available for everyone else too. Especially if they are encouraging everyone to carpool.
If not, I'm sure one of us will be able to give you a ride. Looks like I'll be going right by the airport, just not sure what my plans are yet.
