Anybody ever been? This is something I have wanted to go to for years, along with Burning Man (ohh...I would probably rather go to that for a pure unadulterated 'checkout').
But musically, that seems like Jamcruise would be heaven. Some great bands have gone...Karl Denson (where's he been lately, anyway?), Galactic, and I think even Sector 9 has gone. I think they have two going out now, but one always comes at the wrong time in January after Christmas break (teacher) and I don't have the nuts to take off. Plus, it would interfere with the money sitation for Bonnaroo. I wonder if they have 'volunteer' opportunites? hmmmm, probably not for something like that.
This seems like it would be a relatively cozy music venue to see the bands, b/c how big of a 'stage' could you have on a ship? Then there's the international water thing. How much hassle would you have from the Popo?
I am rambling now, I'll stop.
Anybody been to Burning Man, either, for that matter? I think you'd have to be pretty 'self-suffcient' for that trip.
Hey Murfeesboro folks! Just saw something on the 4-day watermelon fest-They just showed a wooden watermelon chess board and .....awwww....a petting zoo....complete with a 'zonkey'....no kidding....a cross between a zebra and a donkey....and of course the seed spitting contest..... there seems to be many different techniques......
well, sorry for the tangent....I was going to stop. Im a little tanked on coffee right now.

his band sounds good from the article...I like the term he uses 'musical head space'. I saw the dates and not anywhere near me tho. I will miss hearing his funky jamz with KDTU.
