is someone flying a flag?? how am i gonna find you guys?? ;D
I'm assuming there will be a flag, yes. I emailed Langerado and asked about camping. I was told there would be car camping. Then I asked about "tent only" and was told there would not be. Then I asked "what about people who don't come in cars", and haven't heard back yet. I expect to be there by Wednesday of that week, since I'm volunteering and expect to get pre-fest work. So I maybe able to reserve some extra space around my camp for a meet-up area. Also, we should probably make a cell phone number list, like was done for Camp Inforoo at Roo last year, so people can find each other.
and what's this about a Langerado camp inforado? does anyone have a clue how the camping's gonna be structured, or are we just gonna try and coordinate stuff?
i'll actually be camping with my usual festival crew, but i promise to stop by camp inforoo for introductions and such. and i promise to be more social than i was at the 'roo 07 brunch (note: eating corn at 9am prior to meeting lots of people for the first time is a baaad idea ;D)
BANDS:
Thu: Must - Les, DSO, PGroove Hopefully - The New Deal
Fri: Must - 311, STS9, Umphrey's, Bassnectar Hopefully - The Roots, The Wailers, Phix, !!!
Sat: Must - Biscuits, Matisyahu, MSMW, State Radio, Railroad Earth Hopefully - Thievery Corp, RR&FB, the Duo, Pelican, Pnuma Trio
Sun: Must - Phil, Mule, Lee Boys Hopefully - Keller, Minus the Bear
Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!

So far, I've been told, in response to an email that there will be no "tent only" camping at Langerado. So, things are very much unstructured at this point, as far as I know. We may not all be able to camp together, but we shouldn't have any problem organizing a brunch and other meet-ups anyway.
^^^ all we have to do is get into line at the same time. We need a meet up spot like the Wal-mart for Roo. If you are coming from the Naples side of Alligator alley I've got one picked out... I don't know about the other direction.
well even if there is no tent only youll still be able to carry your stuff where ever you want to setup. as long as you can locate camp inforoo. you dont have to setup where they park you.

this
I was thinking that if it was like the Roo, the way things are set up in the car camping areas, there wouldn't be any room for everyone to group together. But I suppose that even there, it would be possible to get a big enough area somewhere, just don't know where, without it being BFE. ??? ???
It's being held on a huge Seminole Indian Reservation in the middle of the Everglades. I don't know how much land they have set for the festival, but Phish had over 100,000 people there. Langerado will probably be around 25,000 or so. There should be some room to spead out a little, especially if you get there early and stake some ground.
no idea. i was at both last year and without any numbers, i'd have to say langerado felt like it had more people. but i hear langerado has a lot of single-day ticket sales and people that don't camp, at least historically.

Hopefully that will be the case, as I've posted earlier, I expect to be there no later than Wed. am, maybe even Tues. so I may be able to help with that.
