My wonderful friend told me this week that he is hooking up a ticket for me, and I bought my plane tickets on Thursday. So it looks like I am Langerado bound. Starting to get really excited. Friday is going to be out of control, getting to see The Walkmen, Vampire Weekend, Bassnector, and !!! all for the first time, and not to mention the Roots, Beasties, STS9 late night. Its going to be a doozy.
But we have not figured out if we are going to RV it or camp, or drive back each day. I keep asking him, but he is not the most experienced with the camping festivals. He has gone to Langerado the last few years, but always drives. I wonder how bad traffic is going to be driving in each day? I dont mind doing that, other than there will have to be a d.d. each day.
Anyways, good times ahead. Looks like there will be a bunch of inforoo'ers that I will have to come by and meet.
I might have to drive in and out because of my job. I'm kinda upset about that. If I had a choice, I would most certainly be camping all weekend. [whisper=wooz]I like the new avatar, Steve. It feels wrong to call you Steve. Hmm. [/whisper]
I don't think he understands that, although it may be a hardship not having me there that weekend, I'd be so much more productive in the long run if I were happy, rather than pissed off.
My obvious opinion: Camp. Why drive? Why bother with a DD?
Thats definitely the smart and right thing to do, but my buddy is not a camper (I am not really either, but have done it on occasion). He was trying to work out an RV, but that makes it alot more expensive. He keeps telling me that he is about an hour away, and it would be no different than going to South Beach to go out and then driving home, which we have done on many occasions. I am kind of his guest on this one so I will probably defer to his judgement, but if he wants to do the drive in everyday, I might make him be the d.d. each night.
I have been listening to ghostland and !!! the past couple hours reading this thread and I am getting super excited. Now I am onto a beastie remix album. The beasties are going to be great live.
I wonder how the live vs. rap % breakdown will be with their set? I would think that since the most recent thing they have released was an instrumental album and being at a live music festival they might play live a little more than a typical show. Which is totally cool, but I still want some Mix Master Mike craziness.
Another thought - it would be nice if they surprise us with a Mix Master Mike late night, or he plays in between Bass Nector and STS9.

not to mention, if he keeps this shit up, hes going to loose one of his best employees.

Some bosses don't get that. You should throw a couple not so subtle reminders his way for the next two weeks. Or even make it kind of a joke, but not really type thing. I hope that it works out for you.
The other managers, pretty much none. The hourly employees we supervise have all taken a couple of days for one reason or another. I understand that it's the busy season. But the busy season lasts six months. And to never have two days off in a row for six months is pretty rough. The trade off is that during the summer I have a lot of time off. But I can't make it 'til May if I don't get a break now.
Not waiting until he puts up the schedule, I'll talk to him when he's getting ready to make it. And the schedule is never set in stone, he'll make changes all week long as new things pop up.
