Wow. Zappa Plays Zappa is promising. I didn't know they were still touring, but I'd love to see them show up on the Bonnaroo lineup. Same with Arrested Development.

Wakarusa is extremely pleased to welcome the following artist to the 2008 lineup: Zappa Plays Zappa, Mikey Hart Band featuring Steve Kimock & George Porter Jr., Everyone Orchestra, Porter, Batiste & Stoltz, Del the Funkyhomosapien, Ivan Neveille's Dumpstaphunk, Pangea featuring Chris Berry and Michael Kang, EOTO featuring Michael Travis and Jason Hann, Arrested Development, Tilly and the Wall, Pete Francis of Dispatch, DVJ Mike Relm, Apollo Sunshine, The Dynamites featuring Charles Walker, Donna the Buffalo, Limbeck, Robert Bradley's Blackwater Surprise, Delta Nove, Ryan Bingham, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, Truckstop Honeymoon, South Austin Jug Band, Backdoor Slam, Macpodz and Bump. Stay tuned for even more wonderful artist additions - we're not done yet!
PS - There is now 2/3 of Dispatch there with the addition of Pete Francis..
I'd like to go to this, but don't know if I'll make it. If not, I hope Robert Bradley's BWS makes it to Roo. I've seen them twice 05, 07 at Bragg Jam in Macon, GA and they would be a great choice for an afternoon tent.
Zappa Plays Zappa, Robert Bradley's Blackwater Surprise, Mikey Hart Band featuring Steve Kimock if just one of these bands could play bonnaroo I'd be happy because I'm not going to Wakarusa

No I haven't. Its always been on my list and this year seems like the best time to do it. finally get 2 weeks off work and the line up is starting to look as good as last years. (minus Grant Lee Phillips of course) .... I have been to tons of other festivals but couldnt constitute making it to Kansas the week before Roo. I am way stoked on this one.

Artist Additions 04.10.2008:
We've added a few more notable artists to an already mind-blowing lineup: Ben Folds, Built To Spill, Uncle Monk (feature Tommy Ramone - the only surviving member of the Ramones), Papa Mali, Mountain of Venus, Turbine, Whitewater Ramble and Brent Barry Band.
Also, this was in the e-mail under "did you know?":
Did You Know . . . .
Hot Buttered Rum will be performing at Wakarusa with the rhythm section from The String Cheese Incident? It'll be one of the highlights from yet another incredible Wakarusa.
If you have not heard Dirtfoot DO NOT miss this at Wakarusa. They are amazing and you will love them. I see them all the time here in Shreveport; I went to college with the drummer. They give out beancans for you to shake to the music. They put on a really great show. I can really see them getting big in a few years. I think this will be their 2nd or 3rd year playing at Wakarusa. I'd love to see them at Bonnaroo this year.
Man, this is making me whimper! I SO wanted to go to Waka and couldn't get it to work out. I'm not getting to see the Lips at all this summer Not to mention the rest of that sick lineup. You guys rage for me, okay?
Well I'm sorry I'll have to miss this one. Looks like an incredible lineup.
For all of you who've never heard of Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad... CHECK THEM OUT! Wow, what a great live show. They played in the RV campgrounds on a little solar-powered stage on Sunday night at Bonnaroo last year. They started their set after Widespread's set in Centeroo ended, and played without a break until the sun rose on Monday morning. Just a wonderful end to Roo for me.
You can hear some of their songs here, at their myspace page:

I will see dirtfoot again the same place I saw them last year at Mulberry Mountain harvest Music fest.
