Another question regarding the power source for Camp Infogood... Are we just relying on the unlimited resource of wook power at festies or is there a plan to make wooks a reusable energy source?
Just trying to refrain from depleting our resources, people!
Hey all I have a few questions regarding All Good. This is my fist time (been to the roo a few times and wanted a change in pace) and I was wondering... 1) how far is it generally from the cars to the campsite? (we plan on getting there when the gates open on thurs.) 2) How far from the stage area could we be getting there on thurs? 3) Being there are now overlapping sets (big plus in my book) is it hard to get a good spot and can you get a spot to see both stages so there is no need to move between the two all day? I think those are all the question i have at this time. I appretiate the help and thanks in advance
you can camp with your car if you want or you can carry your stuff wherever you want.
the furthest spots arent that far by roo standards. but there are hills. the only bad spot is the way back which has this monster hill to climb to get to the stages. it seems in my experience that they fill it by starting in the way back. so getting there when the gates open could mean being out a ways. but again its nothing by roo standards. the worst spot is only 10 or so minutes to the stage. its just a brutal 10 minute walk with the moster hill at the back.
and ive never had a problem getting a good stage spot at all good. there is some area that both stages sound good. but ive found if ya really want to enjoy a smaller stage show you should move to get into a good spot because its not nearly as loud as the main stage and sounds not so good if your not close. especially if your in a good spot for the main stage. it seems like the good spots for the main stage make the second stage sound really bad. so i move and just come back. its really not hard to find a great spot at all good. if you want to be on the rail you may have to camp a bit but its really pretty easy to get a nice spot. also when you get there dont forget to go check out the ropeadope booth to get the ropeadope stage schedule. they dont put it on the schedule you get at the gate but they have things going up there all weekend.. there is some good stuff there. but its conflicting with the main stage and second stage shows. i had to skip les claypool to see the michael franti acoustic set. so there are some conflicts. if its a change of pace from recent roos your looking for all good is the spot for you! all of the positives and more, almost none of the hassles.
3) Being there are now overlapping sets (big plus in my book)
WHAT????? Where did you hear that? That is not a good thing. Actually, It would be impossible for this to happen unless they changed the layout of the concert area. The only overlapping sets will be the performances at the ropeadope stage. The main and side stages CAN NOT overlap due to where they sit right next to each other....
I could've sworn that the AllGood website had Jackie listed as being in the group... I mean, the more Warren Haynes the better, but I also would've enjoyed Jackie Green just as much probably... I guess you can't really go wrong with either choices. It's All Good!
