If this is true, there seems to be a saturation of Festivals this summer.
Sources reveal exclusively to PerezHilton.com that the Coachella Music Festival is heading east this year!
"In addition having the festival outside of Palm Springs, like they do every year, this year they're mounting an east coast version of Coachella in New York or possibly New Jersey," an insider tells us.
The East coast version is expected to be a few months after the Cali affair. "It should be in August," we're told.
The people that are putting on the Vineland fest are the same people that do Lolla and the ACL fest, coupled with the European company that puts on Glastonbury. So I believe the Coachella people are completely different.

yeah i know that, what im saying is that maybe perez (off topic - but i loathe him) may be gettin his info wrong? but you could be right.. thats alot of festivals.. is virgin fest doing its thing again as well?
I have to say, I am coming from the Philly area and if there are things that "suit" people closer to home, some of my buddies might do one of the fests that are closer.

yeah thats kinda how i feel about vineland, everyone ive told about it seems into it cuz its gonna be close. i mean dont get me wrong, people will love a east coast coachella - i know at least 10 ppl off the top of my head that would do a coachella but wont go to roo for whatever reason...sooo there will be money made im sure... ;D
and yah wooz i dont think of it as a real fest either but say that to a few of my friends who went last summer and they will be offended (they just dont know haha)
Two of my friends who didn't go to Bonnaroo last year because they were unsure if festivals in general were their thing went to Virgin Fest (two days, driving distance from homoe) and now are all about Roo. Virgin was their way of testing the waters.
I am highly doubtful of three festivals on the scale of Lollapalooza, the proposed Vineland and a Coachella East happening in August. The fact that they are saying NY/NJ for Coachella East makes it even more implausible.
