I'm very excited about this show, however...I signed up as a fan club member so I could access the presale for his summer tour and the tour page went from having "to be determined" to "na" as in not applicable. I realize KBCO interactive members will have access to the presale (which I also am a member of), but what is up with the fan club presale? Just wondering why I paid the money when I could have just accessed it via KBCO.
i just discovered this festival. i may be going as i will be in both Tennessee and Colorado this summer, and coincidentally will be arriving to both while this and Bonnaroo start.

Hippie and others,
I think that my plans for the weekend involve going to the festival. I learned alot prior to Bonnaroo on this board and have now recognized musicians that I never knew prior to roo.
Who are the must see artists? There are a few that I want to see, a couple ho hum names.
And what is the rebel jam session late night, if any one knows?

i'm not sure how much i'll actually be able to see on saturday. we'll have a lot of freedom to walk around and whatnot, but i also have to stay on task of finding the cool things going on aside from the shows to film/photograph.
however, my schedule would look like this:
Saturday
* Bob Schneider (he's from austin, and SO MUCH FUN live) * Jason Mraz * Citizen Cope * JJ Grey & Mofro * Michael Franti * Tom Petty
Sunday
* BRETT DENNEN!!!! * Tea Leaf Green * Rod y Gab >>>Flogging Molly * Grace Potter * John Mayer * THE BLACK CROWES!!!! * Dave Matthews
I might try and catch some of The Roots, but they played a free show here in austin on UT's campus back in april, and it rocked my face off. and the black crowes are in my top 3 favorite bands, so i want to be as close as possible for them

The station to upload media will close at 7:30, but i can upload the nighttime footage on my own computer back at the hotel.
Tell me what you think...I would love the feedback!!

So this was pretty good...Anyone else go?
They had the monkey machine from Rothbury! That was cool to see. It was all the way in the back corner though, not many people by it.
All in all it was a good time. I only went on Sunday but had a ball at Salmon, Black Crowes, and the Rebel Jam.
They definitely have some work to do if they want to keep this thing alive though... - Toilets were filled up past the toilet seat - Most of the food vendors were out of food by 7pm - Lines for water took upwards of 20 mins - Traffic was very bad at 2pm for us
The people were great, the setup was good, and all and all it was a great festival for Denver. I am excited for next year.

yes!!! traffic was HORRID!!!
the first night we left petty about an hour early to catch a taxi. we were fairly close to the front of line, maybe 50 people back or so, and after waiting for an hour and a half, we realized it just wasn't going to happen. at one point we'd seen 2 taxis in 45 minutes...it was HORRIBLE! we even saw a woman hit a guy across the face with her 3 padded seat cushions because he tried to cut in line. people were starting to solicit rides to strangers trying to leave, paying them upwards of $60 just to get the eff outta there.
the second night they had it under control...the taxis were all going to a central location...but they were at least a good mile and a half away from the festival grounds...not fun after two days worth of walking around a 100 degree festival.
and yes, the portapotties were AWFUL...even after the first day. they looked better at bonnaroo after 4 days!
i do think they did a great job of not making it too bland, which a lot of city fests tend to be. the monkey swing, the water tower, the fire art...there was more to see than just the bands, which is always nice. oh, and the shade tents that lined the side of the festival were great! you could still hear the bands, and weren't getting baked by the sun.
