cornmeal has on their website that they are opening for moe. with an electric set at rhythm fest and are doing an acoustic latenight after moe. ;D ;D ;D ;D also lotus is calling summerdance the lotus family gathering of the summer, so i figure it will be a helluva show. and they added telepath. its got me thinking about going there instead of grateful garcia gathering.

the burning river band family jam added Joe Prichard Band and Raychel Robert's Secret Stash. they are both excellent. and john welton(from waterband) and joe pritchard put on the worlds greatest campfire jam sessions. they are AMAZING and they will play for hours. all you ohio people are missing out if your not going to the ledges!!!!
and they added this to the end of the gratefulfest thing
*Beware any sad, overpriced attempts at copying this show in our area on Aug 1st weekend. This cheesey promoter is doing nothing more then abusing the scene. And Jerry.
they had a little jab before but now they are really hating on grateful garcia gathering. i wonder what thats all about.
sweet... i hope you make it! its a really small fest. but i assure you it will be a great time!!!
did you figure out if your doing hookahville? im still up in the air. we are kinda making a last minute decision based on when my friend gets back in town from work. hopefully we will make it. the weather report looks beautiful!
I'm skipping Hookahville and putting that money toward an LED Hoop. I'm going out of town next week for work, so I don't really want to be out the weekend before
its fairly entertaining. and the bickering gives me flash backs to a time when inforoo had interesting threads to read ;D but basically it just boils down to promoters bickering. but in the end it seems evan is right. although some of his arguments dont make sense. blasting garcia gathering for using the name while supporting trips jerrys bash. but whatever ive met him and he is a great dude. just a couple of weeks ago at blossom blast a friend was bitten by a spider and her ankle swelled up. we went to the gate and asked where the closest urgent care place was. after giving us the run around about ecstacy loving spiders he called, found out how late they were open, gave us directions and even said he would pay half of whatever the bill was. this other dude seems like a jackass. and they are overcharging for GGG. last year gratefulfest brought 4 nights of dso, keller, grey boy allstars, umphreys, etc.. to get that ticket price. i was considering grateful garcia gathering but im gonna save some money and go see lotus, eoto, and telepath at the ledges instead. plus im just not a fan of legend valley in general... uniformed cops inside a fest scare me. they only allows the cops so they will allow him to continue having his fests. and as far as cops go they mind their own business most of the time. but still. it sucks.
well they finally released info for burning river band family jam. its this weekend. its 40 bucks. and john welton is late nights friday and saturday! and waterband plays saturday afternoon as well. thats alot of john welton! and thats not to mention the campfire jams that will go on after the latengiht. its gonna be a great time!!! its supposed to be sunny with a heat index of 97 on friday. the quarry is gonna feel sooooo good!
assuming i make it. but im 90 percent sure ill be there.
