I enjoy making things so I'm thinking of doing what my neighbor did and make a bunch of bracelets and necklaces before we go down and sell them for cheap. She made a good amount of money and it really doesn't seem like THAT much work. If worse comes to worse, more stuff for yourself!

I sold cigs (marlboro and camel lights) but here is the key... sneaking them into centeroo to sell. Take them into centeroo and anywhere there is a long line for something, or anytime there are a lot of people resting in the shade walk around there advertising them. 5 for a pack. Peopleare much more willing to buy them because they don't want to leave the spot that they are in, and and 5 bucks seems worth it to have it delivered. Not to mention that they dont sell camel or marlboro lights in centeroo.
Be careful about taking them into centeroo though. On sunday, I took 8 packs in with me to sell. After going through the security gates, I walked around the corner and held up my sign. At that exact moment a pink security guard (yeah thats right... one of the pink ones) drives up in her EZ GO and asks for me to open my backpack. Fortunately these were my last eight packs and I had already pulled a profit. However I couldn't just sit idly by while 40 dollars is being taken away from me. So I asked her if she could leave some packs for my own personal use. So she leaves 3.... which I immediately turned into three five dollar bills ;D
All in all it was a good idea. It gave me an extra hundred to sling around while I was there, not to mention it can be a good bartering tool when you find a smoker selling something you want.

one year, i bought 5,000 glowsticks on ebay for like 180 bucks or something and was planning on selling those, but... i ended up selling like 4 of them to this old couple, and gave away about another 3,000. Those 1,996 left lasted me a long time though, so all in all, it was worth it
Last year we stopped in Kentucky to get a few cartons of cigs, cause they are pretty cheap there. Our tent was right by a road, so we would just sit by our tent with our sign (aka an empty carton) and just wait. I think we made about a hundred bucks in like 2 hours. I was playing guitar and singing songs about cigarettes, it was a good way to get people's attention

Something I've also considered selling but never have is rain ponchos. Cheap to buy and could easily make a few bucks on each one when selling them. I just wouldn't want to rely on selling them to pay for anything because of course you need it to rain to make money and I would never really want rain at a fest.
Unfortunately I had to find out the hard way that the cheap ponchos for $0.89 at Wal Mart are junk! My friends and I took them up to see Rage Against The Machine at Alpine Valley.... TOTAL WASTE OF TIME! My friend who paid only $2.99 had 10x the poncho we had!
Moral of the story is: you get what you pay for! Spend the extra dough if you think it might rain! It will be worth it in the end!
