Just trying to get some ideas on some of the things that people brought this year that they had success or lack there of selling. Like food items, jewerly, waters, cigs.....etc. Just would like to hear everyones experiences. Or maybe even things you bought that you found really cool or convienent!
In '04 one of the girls I went with had a bunch of necklaces she had made from wire and beads. She didn't really make an effort to sell them though. She had them on a board and set them up next to our tent for people who walked by to look at. Despite this lack of effort she still sold quite a few of them.
One of my neighbors was selling bracelets and keychains. I bought a bracelet and love it..cheap little thing but it's a nice reminder and I know it's one of a kind.
Our neighbors made a great fresh fruit salad every morning with tons of different fruit in it. It was soooo good and everyone near them went and bought a cupful for about a buck a piece.
Something I've also considered selling but never have is rain ponchos. Cheap to buy and could easily make a few bucks on each one when selling them. I just wouldn't want to rely on selling them to pay for anything because of course you need it to rain to make money and I would never really want rain at a fest.

Being a bonnaroo first-timer, I was really impressed with all the bootleg stuff you could buy. 1$ beer, 2$ for cigarettes, hah! Being from Canada i'm used to paying 13$ for cigarettes, and 4-5$ for beer, so this was great! I've been thinking, next year a good item to sell would be red bull. How many times did I start to nod off during a concert only to curse myself for being so tired. Red Bull would sell for sure.
I thought bought redbull too, only problem is that redbulls are so expensive, like 2 bucks each, and even bulk they're not that cheap so it would be kinda hard to make much i think, but im sure you could figure out a way to turn a profit. first year my dude make simpsons lighters by taking strips of this www.maddnet.com/~marty/images/simpsons/poster.jpg poster and glueing them to bics, so each lighter was a different charachter, and he did pretty well with those. 2nd year he sold some cool mixed drinks and those did well i think. also 2nd year my other dude brought down this box of philly blunts T-shirts that he got free from work or something, we sold those in the lot for 5 bucks each in about an hour, if we wanted to spend more time selling them we probably could have sold them for 10 bucks each.
and, of course; you can never go wrong with bunk molly and grocery store mushrooms.

crack, eh? I didn't really see any, personally. Though a friend of mine who volunteered and had to clean up aftewards said she found a whole bunch of needles in one part of the farm

I think I had about every type of drug offered to me. I somewhat expected it, but not so out in the open.

I have absolutely no desire to go to roo and sell stuff. I am there to consume and listen and let loose. So I am glad others are there selling but I wouldn't want to waste one minute of my time there trying to make a buck.
One of my favorite things I've bought at bonnaroo was some unoffical beer coozies from some dude in '03. They are green and say "Bonnaroozie" on them. A nice reminder of my first festival whenever I have a beer.

I didn't find it a waste of time at all...during the day we usually hung around camp until 2 so instead of just sitting there wasting time we made some money. We didn't sell anything until Sunday though. Which is why next year I want to bring more stuff to sell.......it was easy, fun, and a great way to pay for your trip. You could make enough money in the weekend to pay for your ticket and your party supplies.
