went down yesterday, saw tegan and sara, the whigs, cat power and arrested development. Wanted to stay for Lou Reed and Santana, but just couldn't take it. Was glad to get some pre-roo warm-up acts in though. The Whigs fucking ROCKED!!

Well - we DID survive and - truthfully - to see the grin on my daughter's face made it all worth it - it was cold, we were soaked - but she got to see the "most favoritest band in the whole wide world" and we got about 20 people from the stage - so she was very very happy.
She even learned about hitting a Wal-mart at 2 a.m. for stuff you forgot to pack (like conditioner) and then eating food sitting on the hotel floor at 3 a.m.
Yummm - Steak n Shake was very good - too bad all she had was fries and milkshake - LOL
I had a blast this weekend at the Fest. Friday night we went to Gus's Chicken Shack before the Fest, then saw Joan Jett, then Charlie Musselwhite, then we headed over to see the Roots, but the downpour cancelled their show. Sucked, but, oh well, as has been said, it always rains at least one day at the Fest. Saturday was much better. I saw Cat Power, Buddy Guy, Lou Reed (who was awesome), and Santana. Had a great time. Then Sunday, the weather was even better. I saw Umphrey's McGee, Michael Franti & Spearhead, OAR, and the Black Crowes. Then hit a bar down near Beale afterwards. Fun times.

Friday i saw Flyleaf then the downpour came me and my girl decided to call it a night. Saturday saw Colbie colait that was actually pretty good, then Arrested Development they havent lost anything after 17 years fun to hear the tune Tennessee. Then the best of the weekend John Butler Trio, everytime i see him its amazing. Then Matisyahu he actually is losing something for me not as good as a few years back. Sunday by far the best day Umphreys, Michael Franti, then O.A.R, then we left for the long four hour trip home. Taking the rain out of the weekend a great time.
