How many of you went to this and how much did tickets cost? I read that there were 100,000 tickets sold. I know Phish were a huge touring act, but damn... 100,000 tickets for one band. That's bloody impressive.
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**
I was at Coventry. Waited in traffic for 21 hours. Followed some local hippie chicks on some crazy Vermont backroads to get close to the fest. Paid some other locals to drive us closer in their truck. Then we walked 7 miles to get there. It was the muddiest mess I've ever seen, worse than Bonnaroo in 04. But it was all well worth it. Here's a few pics.......

the general consensus over on Phantasy Tour Phish was that if you want to turn some people on to Phish, DON'T let them listen to Coventry
Yeah, the playing was really sloppy, especially for their last set. It was really emotional though, so it's kinda understandable, but Trey was not on, AT ALL. The last set was pretty painful in more ways than one. The first day was pretty solid. All in all though, it was a great experience.

i sat on the freeway for over 48 hours only to be told that they were not letting any more cars in. Me and about 25,000 people said freak that, and parked along the freeway and hiked/hitched about 10 miles in. I only stayed the first nite, because I had none of my gear with me and was sleeping in a mud puddle. I feel no closure, I need to see phish again under better circumstances for my last show.

That's what a couple of my friends did too. They didn't have anything with them. Me and my buddy were lucky. We were able to bring my cooler, tent, sleeping bags, pretty much everything. We set out on a journey to find our friends that parked on the highway. Amazingly enough they found us after only a few mins of walking around. They were quite happy to have a dry warm place to sleep after sleeping on a mulch pile the night before

^^^^^^^ that is not entirely true. SOAM, DWD, and Ghost all were damn good. That being said, they (not just Trey, but mostly) flubbed a bunch of songs.
I'm glad to see people not automatically ripping the fest apart. I hear too much bitching about it. It was the end of Phish plain and simple, and I'm glad I saw it. It was an emmotional night for sure, and I'm not even a huge Phish fan. They gave away the trampolines, they laughed, they cried, and they even rocked out a bunch. I was glad I was their. How often do you get to tell someone you were at a bands last show?
i was there.maybe not the best sounding show.but i wouldnt of missed it for the world.we had to get our camper towed in through the mud.i will try to get some pics up.even being stuck in traffic was fun.they played the show from jersey.so we got to listen to that and dance in the streets.
I was at Coventry. I did not have the traffic problems as others because I came in a different route then most of the flow of traffic. The weather sucked but it was still a great time. I kind of hope when Phish returns on tour they open it up there to kind of make up for all the things they wanted to do for their last show but couldn't due to rain. It would be a great way to start the festival and bring the whole thing full circle.
Oh and one more thing...with the size of the crowd WILSON was so damn lound! It was awesome.

thinking the same thing. gotta make coventry right. i wouldnt mind making the trip to limestone either. it would make sense so everyone can go.
Didn't go to Coverntry but did go to Lemon Wheel, Oswego Campout, NYE 2000 and IT. Limestone is a great place see a fest. Phish could bring at lest 80,000 people easy.
i saw Coventry in the movie theatres broadcast live... :-) that was a trip to see all the phish-heads throwing glowsticks and balloons in a public movie theatre! in some ways, i'm glad i didn't go and have to deal with the mud, but in other ways i'm sad i missed out on the experience...
