my buddy i work with always goes there and says its better than roo....ive never been to either so i cant say...im actualy thinking about goin and checkin one out this year
I dont know about that, but Zoe has a charm all its own. You are looking at a max 5000 people event, and it is more about the festival and the party than the tunes.

That is correct. It is more about the partying than the music, but they can still book some pretty good acts sometimes, and for fifty bucks, it's not a bad deal, but i wouldn't actually go as far as to say that it's better than bonnaroo. There are less people, it's located in a beautiful and remote part of Missouri, there is a creek that goes through the property that you can swim in, and the rules are way more lenient than Bonnaroo as far as what you can bring, and security is very lax, but i like Bonnaroo for all that they offer, and camp zoe is great for something to do, It's definitely a nice little getaway spot that is not real far,but i wont be going to anything out there before Bonnaroo because I need to save my money.
It is certainly not a Bonnaroo, on the other hand it does not cost like a Bonnaroo either. I dont know if I will go before the 'roo for many and varied reasons but I am sure I will make an appearance this summer,
It seems really cool and not that bad a drive so why not. I'll prolly end up going alone in September unless I can convince my best friend to drive up from school.

i went to big summer classic last year and had a blast at campzoe Such a great and beautiful place to party, they have a movies projected on a giant rock wall overloking the creek (very trippy), the creek by itself was an experience (no muddiness, great temp), all camping was basically the same distance from the stages. And im not into cover bands but the schwag kicked ass on the first night, the newish? guitarist studdied trey and is sounds alot like him. they take old dead songs and make them their own without butchering the melody or vibe.
Oh man I went and I LOVED it! I drove up by myself but it didn't take long at all to make friends. Such a beautiful place! Can't wait to go back. I posted my pics and such on my myspace in my schwagstock album if you wanna check them out.. www.myspace.com/wommuck
I will go, even though the bands are not great it is always worth making it to Spookstock. I went Saturday only last month, and had a good time, but I was camped out in the middle of nowhere.
Spookstock is the best Party!!! of the year at zoe. It gets cold but the music is in a 30.000 sq ft heated circus tent. I actually looking forward to Chicago Afrobeat Project.
If we fet enough people on here we should have a camp infozoe or at least all try to meet up somewhere.
It looks very beautiful and seems like a lot of fun, but in all honesty, it's not the kind of event that I could justify traveling more than a couple hundred miles to get to. If I lived down in Missouri, however, I would most likely check it out.

A little over a week to go, and I hope I get my student loan in time for this, it will be cold, and I may be by myself, but this time I will set a big campfire, be cooking out, drinking beer, nomming away, and living it up, this is the last festival of the year for me, so I plan to do it right, party all night, with no copper in sight, I will also bring one of my acoustics to jam out on, I hope I get to meet all the inforoosters that decide to go.
Cool man I hope to see you there. Send me a PM and we will sort out how to meet up. Anyone else on here who is going do the same if you like. No cell service at zoe, though.
