Crazy story. About a year ago, I have this really vivid dream about going to a concert at a club that was sort of more like a cave inside this hill. And inside this club, a band called "The Gris Gris" is playing this crazy psychadelic rock music. Very old school. So old school that when they played their appearance kept shifting between young and old.
Anyway, I wake up and my first thought is who the hell is Gris Gris? So I do a search, and it turns out the Gris Gris are in fact an old school psychadelic rock band from the bay area. And it also turns out I pretty much dig them. They sort of have a Spacemen 3 via David Lynch feel to them.
Anyway, I just wanted to share that little tid bit with you because it is by far the craziest/weird introduction to a band I've ever had. I've never seen them live, but my friends tell me I'm pretty much required to in case the dream has deeper significance.
