So my wife likes to make mix CDs to give to friends, family, people who command respect, etc. and she usually likes to give them themes. I gave her an idea for a mix CD theme, but we can definitely use the help of other audiophiles like y'all.
The theme is pairs of songs that are philosophically opposite, conflict or generally at odds. Here are a few of the pairs we've thought of thus far:
Stray Cats: (She's) Sexy + 17 Janis Ian: At Seventeen
Queen: I'm in Love with My Car Adam Sandler: P.O.S. Car
Peter Tosh: Legalize It Mr. T: No Dope, No Drugs
Louis Armstrong: What a Wonderful World Nirvana: I Hate Myself and Want To Die

^^^I like that, really clever, but it can't just be that the title or chorus has opposite words, the songs need to have opposite meanings, meanings that conflict with each other, like opposing point and counterpoint in a debate. Still funny, though!

Ben Folds Five-Song for the Dumped Ben Folds-The Luckiest
Joan Jett- I love rock n' roll Alan Jackson- Don't rock the jukebox
Not to detract from the thread topic, but i like to play a similar game when I make my mixed CDs where I find two songs that have similar topics but very very different artists/genres.
Example: Juvenile: Back dat @ss up Trace Adkins: Honkey Tonk BaDonkadonk
