I had friends who went to the Waters show here in Chicago recently and they still don't let me hear the end of it.......with the giant floating pig to darkside.............man I wish I had went. I guess what I'm saying is if you can you should go see him.
"We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, movie gods, and rock stars. But we wont, and we're slowly learning that fact & we're very, very pissed off......."

I've seen him twice, 99 and 06......don't miss it. There will be a couple moments where you wish it was Gilmour's voice, but it's such an awesome show that it's just a minor complaint. He has a great group of musicians with him and the backup singers are phenomenal, pay special attention to "Any Colour You Like".

Do not miss this show! i saw him last year, and dare i say..... yes i dare he blew radioheads set from last years roo out of the water! i'll be buying my tix for the boston show tomorrow 10am sharp with pink floyd, radiohead and tool being my favorite bands, we just need to get roger to headline roo in 08'
Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!
I saw Waters last fall, and Gilmour a couple months before that. I'd also seen Waters in 99 and 01.
Hands down, Waters is the better show.
Gilmour, despite playing Echoes, was more interested in promoting his new album than he was entertaining the crowd. His guitar playing and voice have also suffered through the years. Waters, on the other hand, puts on a great light show and knows how to put together a set list, and played for much much longer.
Oh, I am so glad to hear the positive reviews. I've got tickest for June 4th, Ottawa. Had to convince my other half to go. Roger can come across as arogant, and Floyd without him sounded terrific in Toronto. I couldn't pass up the chance to catch a Floyd member performing <2 hours from my home. He will perform Dark Side in it's entirety. Who better than the man who penned the words. The light show should be phenomenal!!
Make sure you burn a copy for the trip to Roo.......
Roger, all I can say is amazing amazing amazing. Problem being in our home, Hubby says Floyd IS Roger, I've always stood strong and said Floyd was Roger and David....... Sometimes to tease I'll tell him David MADE the band though thats not being fair! Just like to tease.
Enjoy Roger, we are opting out of that one because of Bluesfest and DTB (Derek Truck) at the Spectrum in Montreal. (July 4)
If anyone wants to see a great band at this venue, I highly reccomend this bar. Great sound, cheap beers and anything goes except Tobacco smoke...... Hmmmm
Oh yeah, Rogers new stuff is a little Jazzy which is nice YET WHY DOES the Bear always plot to KILL Pink Floyd? Do they not have enough material to play a song only once a day?
FYI The Bear!!! and Chez........ (Radio Stations that persist on killing great tunes!)
Ive always been more of a Gilmour fan than a Waters fan, but if either came around here....theres no way I'd miss it. I saw The Pink Floyd Experience a few months ago, and it was amazing. Awesome show, complete with inflatable pig and everything.
Roger is not a run of the mill concert- it's an event. Saw him in Chicago last fall and will catch the Omaha show this June. Gives me something to look forward to after Bonnaroo. Don't miss it- and be sure to be there on time! He starts (usually) at the posted time! No opening act! (He started late in Chicago). So you thought you might like to go to the show- To feel the warmth of confusion that space cadet glow!
I've seen Waters twice (post-floyd) and Gilmour twice (once solo, once post-waters floyd). The two Waters shows are still in my top-ten shows ever. I yawned all the way through both the Gilmour shows.
If they were both playing in my town on the same night, I'd choose Roger Waters every time!

i saw pink floyd 4 times i think when they were together, and the waters and gilmour by them selves a few times ... i agree that i liked the waters show better, but the gilmour shows were good too i thought ... when they both toured that same year, maybe 99, except for the selection of songs, i thought it was a little like seeing "lite" floyd again . cr*****

Man.... DO NOT MISS! We flew from atlanta to chicago to see the show last year, and it was the most amazing experience i've ever had in my 23 years on this Earth.
Went to the show in Tampa last night. Unbelievable!!!! I've always been more of a Gilmour fan, but Roger tore it up last night. Yeah, of course it would have been better if Gilmour was there too, but we all know that's not gonna happen. I missed his guitar more than his singing. First set: In the Flesh, Mother, Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun, Shine on You Crazy Diamond, Have a Cigar, Wish You Were Here, three Roger solo songs I don't know - including a new one that was a big FU to George Bush and Tony Blair, Sheep Set 2: Dark side Encore: Another brick in the wall part II, Vera, Bring the Boys Back Home, Comfortably Numb

If I had to choose between seeing Roger Waters tomorrow night or going to Bonnaroo...well...there's always 2008, right?? From all the reviews I keep reading about his show, I'm really really really stoked. If his show is anything like Pulse, I can die with a smile on my face without feeling like the good lord jipped me.
Where are your seats for Rog? The reason I ask is that the quad sound last fall in Chicago was the best I've heard (which includes a couple of PF shows). It's an amazing show, I see it again 6/28

I was totally hating on Waters before I went to one of his shows last week (I think he's kind of a douche). From what I hear, solo Roger is better than solo Dave.
But yeah, DEFINITELY GO. It was superb...one of the best shows i've been to.
I went to the msg show last wensday and it was AWESOME... he played the full dark side, along with in the flesh, shine on you crazy diamond, mother, and 3 of his new stuff. his encore included another brick in the wall and comfortably numb. i was impressed the floyd songs were RIGHT ON...haha and oh yea i went with my dad
