YEAH Guster rocks out for sure, saw em for the first time @ Bonnaroo 04 and loved em. Also have steadily listened to Guster on Ice:Live from Portland Maine a million times. plus the DVD rules.
ive seen them a few times. always a great show. i even sat through rufus wainwright to see them. it almost killed me (no offense. hes just not for me AT ALL!!). but ben folds and guster made it worth it. i really thought they would be there last year with the album coming out. so im hoping for this year. although ive seen them alot. and i saw them do the new stuff last summer. so i might have to skip them if there was something conflicting. id hate it though!

Any recommendations on a Guster cd. They are coming to my school next month and I'm thinking of checkin em out. ( one of the few bands to do so since I'm in the middle of freakin NOWHERE)
"We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, movie gods, and rock stars. But we wont, and we're slowly learning that fact & we're very, very pissed off......."
parachute is my favorite. goldfly is great too. guster on ice is a good dvd too. heres a link to a live show on archives. its a great show. the recording isnt too bad. and you can listen to it on the site. no downloading required. www.archive.org/details/Guster2006-07-28.sr77.v2.r09

Based on the bitch'n show i saw they willl play mostly new stuff. Very good, better in person which isvery rare, imho.
Listen attentively to "gaing up on the sun"
They are playing Tellurede afterROO. Hope for an add
www.archive.org/details/Guster2006-07-28.sr77.v2.r09 just finished lsitening to this show. they are doing some new things that take their show up a notch above when i have seen them. this was a big show for them and they really busted it out. some short but trippy jams. usually they just bust out the wuss rock, throw in a drum solo of some sort and thats that. always good but this show takes it up a notch. all of the guster shows i have seen (5) they have pretty much put on the same show. and i always had a good time. but this show definitly goes beyond what i have heard them do. im pretty excited about seeing them again. all of the shows i have seen have been short too. probably due to the smaller venues i have seen them at and the time available when they tour with bigger acts. i wish they would have had more time at roo in 04. althoguht they werent putting on shows like this in 04 anyhow. but i have renewed excitement for guster after listening to this show!!
NOTE-- just so i dont get smited as i did in a previous guster discussion, 'wuss rock' is a term that they use to describe themselves. im not hating in any way!
