07-21 Los Angeles, CA - Sport Arena 07-27 Berkeley, CA - Greek Theatre 07-29 Seattle, WA - WAMU Center 07-31 Denver, CO - Red Rocks 08-03 Chicago, IL - Lollapalooza *Still Rumored* 08-05 Toronto, Ontario - Arrow Hall 08-07 Montreal, Quebec - Bell Center 08-09 New York, NY - Keyspan Park
These were confirmed today, but someone on the Coachella boards had them up 4 days ago with the Lollapalooza date listed, so I'm pretty sure it's legit. Sorry Manchester, but it looks like I'm heading to Chicago this summer. Oh yea, Pearl Jam is also one of the headliners for Lolla.
I was lucky enough to see the Coachella set last year. Can't describe how impressed I was, especially as I wasn't expecting much more than a novelty act. See them if you possibly can.

Sort of how Dylan and PJ were going to headline Bonnaroo? I mean, not to rain on your parade, but if you're going to Lolla because a band is rumored to play there, it's not exactly a safe bet. 75% of the rumors end up being false, and the promoters for Lolla are notorious for blowing smoke up the ass of people looking for leaks (last year it was the Pumpkins, at ACL it's been about every headliner in the book except the ones they actually book).
If you're going because it's closer or cheaper or more convenient or even cause PJ will be there, that's cool. But if you're going because you think Daft Punk might be there; beward the grave disappoint that putting your faith in Charles Attall and CSE will bring you. They are the kings of bullshit.

Oh, I understand what you're saying, but considering the guy on the Coachella board posted all the other dates 4 days before they were announced anywhere else, I'm fairly confident that this rumor has more weight to it. I'm not going to go buy a ticket or anything until I see them on the lineup, but my choice also stems from the fact that the more I look at the Roo lineup, the less appealing it looks to me personally(unless they make some major additions). I'm already catching most of the smaller acts I want to see locally within the next couple months, so I'm probably just going to do Pitchfork and Lolla this year. I decided to add Pitchfork after seeing that they are bringing in ATP’s Don't Look Back series for the first day of the fest, and the fact that they have the most reasonably priced tickets for any fest. This combo works better for me, because they’re closer, and I feel like I’ll get to see more artists that I’m interested in this way.
^^^If I lived in that area and had limited resoucrces, I'd probably go with Lolla, Intonation and Pitchfork. When all is said and done, you could hypothetically go to all three of those for the cost of a trip to Roo.

the last 2 years i have done roo, intonation/pitchfork, and lolla...some of the chicago trips dont end up being too bad cause i can crash with friends in the city.
damn i hope they are on at lolla...or that they add a date thats within driving distance.

Not really my taste. I like some electronica/DJ music. But more hip-hop oriented. I like Madlib/Quasimoto, DJ Krush, RJD2, etc. I can't handle Daft Punk, though. But I've only heard a ccouple songs. Anyone have any suggestions?
^^^I think Homework might be closest to your tastes. It's more beat oriented than the other albums. Discovery's a great album, and probably my favorite, but it's more of a discoteque album.

If pj was headlining lolla, i think i would know about it, however there is nothing on their website, nor on the lolla site. In the pj forums it is mentioned, but there is nothing to back it except one article. I will be awfully surprised to see it happen, but if it does, I guess I'll be making 2 road trips this summer. When they return from their european tour in july, i doubt they will be playing anywhere except maybe at the gorge like they do most summers. I mean, i could be wrong, but then again, my username is pjgirl for a reason. In any case, i'll believe it when it happens...

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll have to check it out.

It was already reported by the Chicago Sun-Times and confirmed by Billboard.

its still not on either the lolla or the (recently updated) pj website, don't get me wrong, it would be awesome if it were true, but until there's hard confirmation (like, from the band, for example) i for one will not speculate.

So, Daft Punk has a retarded website, with just a video playing. Also, I have checked ticket master, and other shows go on sale today, but still no Toronto. Anyone know through what site, what day, etc. these tickets go onsale?

Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!
