I went to this concert last night at the Music Mill in Indianapolis. Great show! Horrible turnout. There couldn't have been more than 100 people in there including the bartenders. Gringo Star was a pleasant surprise. I had never heard of them before that night. They all kept playing musical chairs with their instruments. One guy would be drumming for a song, then singing and playing lead guitar next song, then playing the keyboard next song. Backyard Tire Fire was good, not great, but good. The Slip was really good though. I've never seen them live, and these guys can jam. All their songs I knew were 3 times as good live. It was all very trippy the way the songs kinda blended together. Overall a very fun show. I'm looking forward to seeing them again at Bonnaroo. To bad nobody showed up for this one. It was only $12 too. Oh well, definitely lots of room to dance though.

i live in cincinnati, actually northern ky, i have made the drive several times to indy shows. its about 2 hours from where i live. i got off work at 2 pm yesterday. it was about 8 pm here when i remembered the slip were playing in indy, i saw it on pollstar. i really wish i would've remembered this show cause eisenhower is one of the best albums i've heard in a long time. the slip and also the decemberists are probably the two i am most excited about at roo this year, they both sound like nothing i've ever heard. what was the slip's setlist like? do you think they will be on which stage or a tent at roo? i'd like to see them in the day on which stage, but a late night show would be pretty awesome. i wonder if they could play latenight right before mule or something? that would be sweet. i can't wait cause hardly any good bands ever come around to cincinnati. this city sucks.
