We're going to set up our tent tonight to get tix for Al Gore's 100-act, 24-hour worldwide concert on July 7 to fight global warming: A source says the Police, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd - including Roger Waters, who's refused for years to play with his former bandmates - have signed up.
I hope this is true.. and in the US :-\ after booking roo, coachella, and lolla trips.. no money
'twould certainly be amazing and i would be buying some tickets, yet i'm skeptical to allow myself to feel joy over this...if the rumor picks up steam amongst other publications in the next weeks i'll begin to believe it
Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!

I was disappointed with the Live 8 performances myself, and surprisingly, Roger Water's vocals seemed to be the weak link. There were a lot of instrumental mistakes, but I can forgive that, because I assume they didn't have a lot of time or desire to rehearse together.
No way. This pops up every now and then. Won't happen. Absolutely not. Fucking NY media whores. BTW- I thought the Live 8 was amazing. But won't happen again. Don't fuck with me about this.

I thought the Live 8 Performance was amazing, and I was jumping around while they were playing I was so excited they were playing together again. Then it really pissed me off when they cut to some asian reporter during the comfortably numb solo! WTF?? They realised there mistake and cut it back after a few seconds.

I heard their last reunion concert produced subpar results...
I watched the live 8 on streaming that summer, and honestly, it was pretty bad.
It pains me to say it, becaus pink floyd has been very important to me throughout my life.
It made me quite sad to hear Roger up there barely able to sing.
You can D/L it from etree.
I also think it was because the played their most radio-brodcasted songs: Wish You Were Here and Money. These are greatt songs but the fact that they focused on these made me pretty sure that Pink Floyd is dead. They used to be such a creative, underground band. Now they are just a dinosaur act, capable of filling an arena with thousands in minutes. I would see them if I could, but I wouldn't dare pay $80 for the worst spot in an arena (Of all places). I listen to them all the time, but their shows are NOTHING to what they used to be, or (On a much different note) could be if Waters and Gilmour would grow up and get along with each other.
Should of said this at the start, but this is just my humble opinion. There is no need for smiting.
