It was announced today that they're actually coming back to West Virginia! So I get to see Tool twice in one summer!
Well...hopefully. Generally I'd never even think of passing up a Tool show, but the funds are running kind of low right now. I reeeaaally hope I can save enough money to go.
Any (legit) suggestions on raising money? Right now most of my money is going toward a school trip to Costa Rica, and bills. That doesnt leave much extra.
Also, does anyone know who is opening up on this tour?
"They won't break me because the desire for freedom, and the freedom of the Irish people, is in my heart. The day will dawn when all the people of Ireland will have the desire for freedom to show. It is then that we will see the rising of the moon."
Opening band sucks on this tour, says the word on the street.
I would have liked to see Isis back out there with them.
Oh well...
Collect cans and recycle them, 1400 cans is 70 bucks, enough for a ticket!
Do you know who the opening band is? Like a name?
Its no surpise though that the opening band is bad. Isis is the only band I can remember that opened up for Tool that hasnt been terrible, since King Crimson.
i'll post a review on the june 8th show...i hate ticketmaster by the way. for weeks there has been nothing but crappy tickets available then of course yesterday floor tickets become available, luckily i waited and snatched them up last night...5 days till tool in baltimore..WEEEEEEEEEEEEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
tool played flood last night. first time in years. now i am really excited for bonnaroo.
After they played that for us last night, and the good mood mjk was in, I think we just might get something crazy for roo
As for the first hand experience, it was fucking crazy. The energy was awesome, MJK sounded great, actually sang all of vicarious too. The band didn't miss a single note. I was at the back of the floor, and the seats were fucking awesome. The crowd was kinda tame thought, when flood started no one really flipped out like I thought they would. I think the roo crowd will be a great place for Tool to pull something awesome out, opening with The Grudge would be fucking amazing, something crazy like that.

i don't think most people realized what they were playing. i didn't at first on the logn intro, then i was like oh my god they're playing flood! and i went nuts. most people either didn't know it or they were in shock.
Yeah, lol to tell the truth I only did because a guy in front of me flipped out. I expected right in two, this was a great surprise. Seems to me that when TOOL has a good crowd, they give a good show. Hopefully Roo will be the best crowd they have had so they pull out everything.
PS if anyone is gonna catch them while Melt Banana is opening, spare yourself. All they do is blow out your fucking ears, that was WAY too loud for what it was. I still don't have my hearing back.
