Soo I was at wednesday show and they also played a 3 hour set really was something to remember... But yeah I was a few feet from the stage i say about 4-5 people maybe a couple more but it was such a small venue that anywhere u where it was a good view.. But the one thing that was killing me was the fact that it was soo damn hot and the one big fan they had on the ceiling i felt do nothing at all.. But I deff will put this show as one of my top shows i ever been to.. So much energy and heart put into the set..
deff agree with u i just got done listening to zeitgeist and it was good.. nothing like their older stuff but it doesnt suck like some would think.. i say give it a try..
I had to place seperate orders to snag 2 though. that was a bummer, but I luckily got sections Balc-12 and Balc-13 and the same row for each, N, so we should be set.

Gonna try for Mud Island next saturday.
lol. My boyfriend and I were on separate computers when the presale began! We'll be in [mf-6 row p] which I'm guess means main floor section 6 row p? I think that's pretty good seats especially considering ryman usually gives a certain amount of tickets away to insiders - and they get the real close spots

Smashing Pumpkins (or Billy Corgan and 5 guys that aren't Slash, as I like to call them) have announced 2 shows here in Atlanta (Oct. 30 & 31). Not only are they(HE) charging up to $100 for tickets, but they(HE) are using this picture to promote the shows:
Anyone else see a problem here?
That is absolutely ridiculous, misleading and wrong....In my opinion!

not really if u actually know who is gonna play.. trust me i got tickets for 50 each not including service charges but they are decent seats in the orchestra level and yes this is at the fox theater in atlanta.. Now I dont see why they wouldnt update the picture but what pumpkin fan doesnt know that its not the full band.. Anyways 50 is not a steep price so if u are complaining about that then damn i dont know what to say i pay that much all the time for shows..

it is steep when the cheapest tickets were $42 and pit was $102. especially when i just saw them for $25 in asheville.
Posters for local shows are printed by the concert promoters who promote the show. Bands don't actually go out and have the posters made up and put them up around town for every show. That is the job of the conert promoter, and the fault of the concert promoter for either using the wrong picture, or intentionally misleading people with an old photo.

^ fair enough, but it still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. And, in all honesty, while I dig the Pumpkins....I don't like Corgan AT ALL! (plus, this really isn't the Pumpkins anyway.)
The picture bugs me, but the crazy-ass ticket prices blow me away! Like I said, this isn't the Pumpkins. This is Billy and a guy he fired years ago for being "unprofessional" and "sending out the wrong image". To me, the fact that he's willing to work with a guy that he dismissed so smuggly, says alot about him. Billy couldn't pull these prices(and his solo stuff tanked), so he appears to have compromised his standards to cash-in.
To willrich: Congrats on the $50 pit seats. I don't know how you managed that. If i could've done that, I might've bought tickets. I'm just not paying rockstar prices for a halfassed group of has-beens.
These are only my opinions, but I stand by them.

i like the pumpkins and they were good in asheville. but i wouldn't even pay that much to see the original lineup.

It's been anounced that the Tepid Pumpkins will be headling a corprate radio rock fest in my town next month. While I vowed never to pay those outrageous ticket prices to see Billy try and relive the '90s, I can't pass up the chance to see him and cypress hill (and 3 other shitty nu-metal bands) for only $20. At least i'll be able to say I've seen everyone from the origional lineup, albeit split between 11 years (saw em in 96 after Jimmy Chamberlain was fired).
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it
