im planning on going there to see them. have you seen a show at the orange peel. its a great venue and a really fun hippy town to hang out...i know the cheapest place to stay if you need it. its near the place and had free breakfast and a new pool for 53$ i was very pleased.
Orange Peel is great. I live 10 minutes from it. Good shows there every week. Last show I saw was Neko Case. Wish there was more seating inside though.
friend tried getting tickets almost got them and then it timed out and now it says ticketmaster are doing the sales for nc shows.. So looks like their server couldnt handle the amount of people trying to buy tickets.. If anyone gets any luck getting tickets please let me know...
"I hope they do a midwest stand." Only San Francisco and Asheville ...and a few festivals.
On ticketweb it says Pumpkin tickets will be sold through ticketmaster.com
Problem is the Asheville shows are not listed (unless they hid it somewhere)... only the Fillmore venue is shown. www.ticketmaster.com/artist/736143 ...Sunday8pmET

yeah i'm definitely going to try to get tickets. i was pulling my hair out today when i couldn't connect, thought they were all selling out. i'm a hardcore fan, so that would have killed me.
Please do tell about the cheap hotel! Details! Very interested.
They weren't sold out that quick. You have to keep trying as people will not complete their orders and the tickets will be re-released. I was lucky enough to snag two for the 7/2 show. Not the date I wanted but I am not complaining. I forsee a lot of my friends begging and ....... for my other ticket. I think I will hold out for my female firend's offers.
And there are some selling on ebay.. 2 tickets for $600!!
Tickets have to be picked up at will call the day of the show, and according to ticketmaster people has to enter the venue inmediately after pick the tickets. Being so, scalpers would have to walk in to the show with their 'customers'?
man i wish i can go my friend has an extra ticket so hopefully he takes me congrats to everyone who had luck, and lets up those people on ebay selling them for more then what i would pay for a show gets caught and ticketmaster takes back their tickets.... (not likely to happen but man dave matthews band does it for their shows for warehouse tickets)

You know, usually I'm not a big fan of Pitchfork's negativity, but this article about SP is dead on. Granted I probably wasn't going to buy or even download the new album (unless it somehow turns out to actually not suck) but this kind of stuff is still pretty ridiculous.

I went to the show on Tuesday. It was absolutely amazing. We camped out and ended up in the 3rd row. I could have touched Billy at some times if I really wanted to. They played for 3 hours and played alot more than just the hits. I met a fellow 'rooer (with wristband still intact) at the show who had traveled all the way from Vermont!
