if its' just a tour, i say sure, but if they make new music.... that's the not so good thing. Not hating on Sex Pistols, but I highly doubt there's much they can do now in the studio.
I can't imagine anything less "punk" than a reunion tour.
They already had a reunion tour back in '96, the Filthy Lucre Tour, with Glen Matlock on bass. Johnny said that it would be a novel concept to actually get paid for performing, and how there was a whole generation of fans who never had the opportunity to see them live.
If there were a reunion, I'd be torn about it. They're my all-time favorite band, and I know I'd probably never get an opportunity to see them again. On the other hand, seeing a bunch of guys in their 50s playing to a sold out arena just wouldn't hold a candle to seeing them in their early 20s, performing in a small underground club for a few hundred people.

besides the fact that they play god saved the queen around the royal yacht during while the gueen was there and pissed and kept riding around her, touring in america by going to backward towns in the south and playing redneck bars just to piss them off, oh yeah and suicide murder of sid and nancy.... but other then that yeah their manager Malcolm Mcleron was more like the marketing peoplee behind backstreet boys.
There are other bands from that era that I would rather have reunited than them. Its not bad persay I just would rather see. The Mekons aged rather well, wouldn't you say?

that's always been my problem with the Sex Pistols. They never really had anything to say, they just went around being obnoxious and pissing people off all the while giving punks worldwide a reputation as obnoxious bungholes.
They're sole purpose, this was more their management's fault, was to capitalize financially on the popularity of punk rock.
I agree Sex Pistols shouldn't have a reunion tour. We do not need 65 year old puck rockers. As for pissing people off for no good reason. I think that was more of a time period reactions. THey came right after the love and peace generation when the world was changing and many of the hippies folks were changing to crappy "progressive rock" and soon to come disco. Anarchy was at the core of what they were doing Malcolm came along and snatched them off the london punk scene put a marketing scheme behind their chaos and viola punk rock popularity.

Ahem... never had anything to say? I really hope you're being sarcastic. If not, have you ever really listened to Never Mind the Bollocks, paid attention to the lyrics? Their songs were about things they were completely fed up with, and they took a stand for what they believed in. That's what appeals to me so much about them. None of them were particularly musically talented individuals, but they had so much raw energy when they played that it really didn't matter, because they cared so much about what they were singing about. I mean, they made one album and were together for only a year and a half, but they've had such a lasting influence on the history of music, both punk and non-punk. Ever hear the phrase 'the whole is greater than the sum of its parts'? That's the Pistols to a T. So many bands these days don't really give a crap about their music, they just appeal to the lowest common denominator. They're too concerned about pleasing the fans, when they should be making songs that come from the heart.
