Reorts are the band has been tearing it up this tour, so I'm making my first "alone" trip to a concert. They're playing in Detroit this Tuesday....2 days after my birthday, so it's a little b-day present to myself!

Well I went and it was awesome of course! They opened with "Monsters in the Parasol" , which was a treat.
Overall a great show, but jesus, there was so much fucking moshing! Seriously, I was on the edge of it all night protecting a couple girls behind me, and it took away from the show big time. I know there are some heavy elements to QOTSA, but when I see them I want to let it wash over me....I mean they're playing "Sky is Falling" and I want to just stand there with my face pointed to the sky and just ahhhh....instead I'm nearly getting knocked on my ass as I get my balls smashed by some jackass hopping around the place like a fucking leprechaun.
I saw them at Vegoose and it was one of the highlights for me. Really good show but it was probably a little bit of a shortened set due to it being a festival set.
Saw em last Septemeber at the Tabernacle, one of the best shows i've ever seen, by far. i feel very lucky to have seen them one this tour, so much good material!
I've been lucky enough to see QOTSA 6 times now. 4 headlining, one opening for NIN and one opening for Rage Against the Machine.
the last time I saw them play (August '07), I nearly shat myself whe they opened with Millionaire (Josh sang). They also played an extremely long Better Living Through Chemistry. Also got to see them play Song for the Deaf a couple of times this past tour.
I've also seen them open with Do It Again, and Mosters in the Parasol which were unreal.
