Hey guys...
Starting to get antsy for Bonnaroo so we're looking for some local shows to attend leading up to the four days of awesomeness in June. Just thought I would post a thread looking for suggestions... so far we are planning on checking out the Blind Melon show in Nashville. We're looking for smaller venues (read, cheaper) and hopefully close enough not to have to spend the night(saving for up for 'roo)... we live in north alabama.
Sooo.... any suggestions? We are into pretty much anything if it's live, but tend to lean towards rock more than jam bands. Thanks in advance!

Blind Melon in Nashville? Wha? I had not heard this yet. Very Exciting.
The big shows I'm planning on going to coming up are......
Ween in Atlanta on January 29th. Wilco at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on March 2nd. And Les Claypool at City Hall in Nashville on March 3rd. There are many other smaller shows coming up to that I will wait to get tickets for.
My favorite place to look for show listings is Pollstar.com. Give that a try. Happy show-going!
Western North Carolina is not too far from you. The Orange Peel is a smaller venue in Blissville... I mean Asheville. www.theorangepeel.net/calendar20081.php
Also, we'll probably be going to a show at The Rutledge on Jan 19th to see Eastern Block / Lovers and Liars / Kennedy / Merced / Panty Raid (all that for $5)! I don't know too much about the bands (you could prolly search them on myspace), but Panty Raid is a great burlesque troop
