I was on Jambase and found out that they are playing in Atlanta March 9, 2008 at The Tabernacle.
The day after my birthday - man - if I had the money - I would soooo be there - it is an easy 7 hour drive - free place to stay in Atlanta - see the show - spend the night - head back to Jackson on Monday.
It's sold out...... and tickets are going for $150 a piece on places like stub hub and whatnot. The Crowes are my favorite band and it sucks that I may not see them on this special "one night only" tour. They are playing their entire new album then a set of other songs after that. I'm still gonna go and try to scalp a ticket, but it sucks that they sold out in like 5 minutes. Hopefully they play Bonnaroo......they have a new album & new Guitarist (Luther from NMAS) who loves playing bonnaroo.
I don't really think so......he may like them musically, but they have never played together. Yes, the Crowes opened up for Petty in the summer of 2005, but it was an odd tour. No one sat in with each other and never once did they acknowledge each other on stage. When Pearl Jam, ABB, and Trey opened up for Tom Petty in 2006 they all played with him for at least a song or two, but never that way with the Crowes.

funny thing is - it is not a "one night only" tour - they have several dates - they are playing on Kentucky the night before and in Chicago on the 7th - they leave for AU (I think) for April and then are back in the States in May - check out their myspace page - there are dates on there for the new album tour already.
