failure is one of my favorite bands of all time. didn't even know about them until after they broke up. i saw year of the rabbit a few years back and ken andrews was brilliant!
any other fans of ken andrews out there?
if you want to check them out i suggest the album fantastic planet and the songs "stuck on you" and "nurse who loved me" (yes a perfect circle covered that song). you will be amazed
Failure. Yeah. Wow. That takes me back. I used to have that cd. I must have sold it at some point along the way. I'm gonna have to remember to "get" it again. Thanks for reminding me about them.

I bought Fantastic Planet a couple years ago. Listened to it a decent amount, but haven't played it in a while. I remember really liking the last two songs.
Is Andrews the bass player who's now the lead guitarist in Autolux, or is that someone else from Failure?

Woohoo! A very underrated band and man.
I finally got to see Failure about 7 shows before they finally broke up. Seen Ken Andrews 4 times since then in a mixture of On, Year of the Rabbit, and solo shows. He's a great producer in additon to the great music he makes. His last tour he did a ton of Failure songs. Really good stuff.
And Autolux is quite awesome too. Quite different from the Ken Andrews stuff, but you can get a clear taste for what Greg Edwards brought to the table in Failure.
All those dudes went on to work on great things, between, Ken producing for Tenacious D, Pete Yorn, and A Perfect Circle, and then of course Autolux, and the other guys going on to work in A Perfect Circle, Queens of the Stone Age and Veruca Salt.
I'd like to say that if Failure announces a US tour soon, they are a likely add to Roo 2014... but they won't get added before they have a chance to get reunion ticket sales bank.
