I had never heard these guys until a couple weeks ago. Then I walk into the local CD Warehouse, and the owner asks me if I want 2 tickets to the show (they give way random tickets all the time). Of course I take them! I can't wait to see the as I have heard nothing but good things here and on a couple of other boards.
Back to the free tickets thing. Apparently they had 2 tickets to STS9 on Mardi Gras that they couldn't get rid of (my friend saw them on the counter the day after the show). The kickeris the show sold out. When we went to the show, we met multiple people that had paid $100/ticket.

I saw them last May. They were amazing. They seem to be playing bigger venues on this tour. I'm considering driving 4 hours to see them again this time around.

I just bought my tix last night to see them in Denver, CO at the Ogden Theatre later this month. I am excited!!! Tix were only $12 too which is a steal. I heard its good to be up close because they spend a lot of time sitting down and messing with their instruments and equipment. Can anyone confirm this or have any other suggestions to get the most out of it!

That is true. When I saw them last year, it was in a pretty small club. We arrived just before they went on and were stuck towads the back. Even though we were only about 25-30 feet away from the stage, we couldn't see them half the time b/c of exactly what you said. The spend a lot of time hunched over messing with their equipment. In fact the keyboard they were using wasn't even on a stand, it was sitting on the ground. Still an amazing show, though.

i'm not seeing them on this tour, but i did catch them last spring. let me tell you, no album recording can prepare you for their live show. you'll simply be enveloped by the sound they create.
as for the crouching down, this happens. luckily i have a height advantage over some, but i guess it also depends on the venue.

I've got my ticket for the show in Atlanta. I think the date is the 13th but I'm not exactly sure. I have heard nothing but good things about the live performance. I can only imagine how cool this will be.
