especially since at that Mule show you are gonna want to get rowdy anyways, which wouldn't make for a good drive home, or a good day at work the next day
iron/wine will be very laid back, a little nom nom and a beer... more cute chicks probably too...
*i like coconuts, you can break them open they smell like ladies lyin in the sun** *Hell I don't even know where I am** *for now I must sit here and ponder the yonder: The herbivores did well cause their food didn't never run** *We listen, if it feels good We shake** *You made a big impression for a girl of your size, Now I can't get by without you and your big brown eyes.**
I am thinking the Iron and Wine show is here in Richmond, (Both shows are here, never mind) And I voted Mule before I knew it was at Innsbrook.. Eff that.Place is the most ghetto venue I have ever been to. Its like a Wal-Mart shed with Gravel every where and trucks that serve Miller Light to every one. Go to neither. Save your money OR go see New Pornographers The same night as Iron and Wine.
Edit. Damn. I just picked up tickets to Mule. I hate that place. But I am missing them in Asheville and All Good so this was the better deal. If you decide to go. I am skipping I&W due to the Pornographers but The National is a great venue.

Califone is opening for Iron & Wine on this tour. I'd give my left nut to finally see those guys. I've been waiting for them to come around to Philly since Roots & Crowns came out. I'm actually thinking of going out Pittsburgh way to catch them on this tour, since they're playing there on the 17th(my birthday). Saw Iron and Wine last October and they were really good. Gotta go with Iron and Wine.

They never do. I've seen both, and Iron & Wine was just so so. So i can either give them another chance or go with the tried and true. I'll just take the one thats gonna rock my socks off for sure.

I would seriously murder someone to hear Its a Man's World. Seriously. ;D I first heard them play that when i listened to their Dub Side of the Mule show, sick sick sick.
23 for Califone and Iron and Wine and 15 for Mule and TLG..... Why?
The Mule show is the kick off to the Pavillion here. And It alson comes in two tiers, the "gold circle" (think chairs and whatnots) are $30. But you are just fine with the cheapies there.
