I got Joe Zawinul's new album "Brown Street" and it's great. He does a lot of Weather Report tunes with a big-band backing him. Really good. Now if we could just get the Zawinul Syndicate on the Bonnaroo bill this year....... ;D
Yeah, it's all with a big band but with a cool guitarist thrown in also. I believe the album he did before this one involved vocalists that he really liked. He's still doing his world music/ jazz hybrid thing, which is great. Too bad we'll probably never see a Weather Report reunion. That would truly be awesome.
