So I've been feverishly checking everywhere for this album for weeks now. Last night I got home around 3 in the morning and decided to check some trackers for it.
Low and behold, there it was. New Moon is now circulating, and has completely exceeded my expectations.
Elliott is one of the few artists I've ever listened to that can do no wrong in my eyes. I really can't think of one song by the man that I don't enjoy. This album of B-sides are no exception. It's comprised mainly of acoustic tracks that I really can't believe never made an album. Especially a long time favorite of mine that only existed as an instrumental. The song is entitled Go By, and (IMO) is one of the strongest tracks I've ever heard Elliott put out.
I have some things to go take care of. I'll write some more later. Now go and check it out already. If you're a fan of Elliott you won't be disappointed.
I was born in the back seat of a Yellow Cab in a hospital loading zone and with the meter still running. I emerged needing a shave and shouted 'Time Square, and step on it!

i got a few tracks off of emusic last week for my wife. she is a huge fan and has gigs and gigs of shows and rarities, she may have had some of the sessions from either/or these tracks came from even.
i cant help but it feeling a bit of the classic "dead artist album" thing, but if they have new stuff to release more power to them i guess.
we have recently gotten into blue-eyed-son, a california songwriter, who is obviously heavily influenced by ES. pretty good stuff, not as dense and fragile as elliott, but cleaner and more modern, for what its worth.
