Just watched the Residents' "Eskimo in 5.1" DVD from netflix lanst night. It is the single most emotionally unnerving music DVD I have seen. The comic-book like style of the artwork and telling the stories in stills and text only adds to the mornful tone of the work. The mix for the music is awesome (5.1 surround only). Its basicly a look back at the life of the eskimo as inspired by the "Nanook of the North" movie, itself lonely and frightening, combined with a subtle musical and visual incorperations of Coca Cola and McDonalds to symbolize the Eskimo's eventual abandoning of this way of life for government housing and fast food. A masterwork.

Coachella is probably the best one. Pixies - Sell Out Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Live at the Fillmore Dresden Dolls - Punk Caberet Zeppelin - How the West was Won Prince - Sign O' the Times (Even if you're not a fan, the outfits/haircuts of the eighties London crowd are priceless!)
