I just watched Julliette and the Licks on TV. They are led by a very talented actress Julliette Lewis. IMHO they were incedibly bad. Why do actors keep trying to be rock stars? Does anyone remember The Return of Bruno? How about Dogstar? Has there ever been an actor that made good music?

Johnny Depp had a band with Gibby Haynes (of the Butthole Surfers) called P that was not too bad. The only example I can think of that doesn't totally suck. except the Bacon Brothers (kidding)
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it

William Shatner. I am being completely serious. His first album, from 1969, is indeed "so bad its good", but even in that category it's the stuff of legends. Then his second album in 2004 was genuinely very good, with clever songs and excellent showmanship. His duet with Henry Rollins is alone worth the price of admission. So I think Shatner has proved himself a very talented "musician".
My friend just baught me "The Return of Bruno" on vinyl as a joke but its gotten a few spins, mainly for our amusement but c'mon who doesnt like Bruce Willis
