i wasn't sure where to post this but i think it is something fun to discuss. who do you think is the best DJ out there? i know there is lot of different styles of djing but do your best. for me, i honestly think dj shadow...he is the most well rounded in the world. you can ask him to play anything an he'll do it better than anyone out there.
This is an impossible question to answer because the term dj can apply to so many artists. But if I had to pick one, I'd go with Aphex Twin. I think he completely changed the way a lot of people looked at music.
Working right now, I'd say Diplo's probably the best out there right now. He's been on a roll for the past few years. Not sure when he'll peak.
I respect what Shadow has done for the art, but he's far from the best DJ today.
And I'm not too sure about Diplo being the best DJ. Last time I saw him play out he played a solid set, but while the track selection was great at times, it certainly wavered at others. He does have solid DJ skills though.
Tiesto's a very good DJ, but he'll never get respect from the EDM snobs because of the genres he revolves around.

I would put DJ Yoda in the mix for best turntabilist. Also Kid Koala and DJ Craze (He won multiple World Championships).
