I first discovered this band at the forecastle festival in Louisville Kentucky and seen them shortly afterwards at a local club called the dame in Lexington KY. I plan on seing them again early next month at the same club. I'd call them progresive rock, really great and talented musicians and i think they'd fit in perfectly well at the roo. I really hope these guys make it big, they totally deserve it. The new album is called la la Land and its probly their best work to date. Check it out.

A damn fine album and a damn fine band. My favorite band is My Morning Jacket, and being the good local boys they are, they had Wax Fang open a lot of the Okonokos tour dates. I didn't know who they were before then and they blew me away. They come around Nashville quite often, so I've gotten to see them about 7 times now.
Their drummer is a bad-ass mofo. His name is Kevin Ratterman, and he was also the drummer for another Louisville insititution by the name of Elliott. I can't suggest them enough to you either.

I also saw them at the Dame when they opened for Don Caballero. They were really good. I had never seen a band use a theremin before, that was wild. Missed them when they played this past Sunday. How was it? It's a shame the Dame and Buster's right next door are gonna be getting torn down for the new downtown development. Totally shortsighted project, IMO, but that's a whole other topic...
