Has anyone gotten this yet? It's a different step for them. It's still the blues. But they seemed to have exchanged the raw, rockin blues for something a bit more soulful. It's pretty good, but definately different.

I like it. Actually, I like it a lot. It is a step in a different direction for them, but it makes me all that more excited to see them in April in Indy.

After giving this album a few listens, I'm going to have to say its pretty sick. I echo what Danbird said, it has gotten more soulful. The sound is a little bit cleaner, but that is to be expected, with with this being the first thing they've actually sat down and recorded in a studio. Not to mention the Danger Mouse factor-his presence is noticeable, but he did a good job of not messing with the Black Keys sound/style. They've certainly developed their instrumentation . . . there's more bass lines, keyboard work, and even a flute in one song. This a solid album, certainly a step-up for the Keys, fans will not be disappointed.
