YES!!! Prince is, without a doubt, the funkiest soulman alive! Too many people tend to want to judge him by the music wrote 20 years ago but, he's SO much more than that! He's the closest thing to James Brown that we have left today! He is an amazing songwriter and performer and, in a reader's poll in Rolling Stone (way back when it was worth reading), he tied with Frank Zappa as the most underated guitarist(s) EVER! He's that good! I love him....and if you don't, you probably haven't given him a fair chance yet. "3121" or "Musicology" WILL change your mind! He is simply INCREDIBLE!

John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it
This is so cool. I stated in another thread that Prince probably wouldn't be a draw for the 'Roo crowd. It looks like I was wrong. I saw him a while back and this old rocker was greatly impressed. One of the best shows I have ever seen. If he did show, I hope he would sit in with a few other acts.
Glad to see so much support for Prince! I love pretty much all the stages of his musical progression.
Couldn't agree more with either statement.
I would be as excited for him to headline as I have for any other Roo headliner barring Neil Young. Guitar God. Master of Funk. Can work a crowd like few others.
I agree, I thought there would be a lot more haters. Prince can be very polarizing. I guess it just shows what a truly discerning, music loving bunch we all are.
