So a lot of us, myself included, have mentioned Pearl Jam for a possible headliner. What do y'all think? I say hell yes! I've seen them twice, and was truely amazed both times. I think Mike McCready is one of the most underrated guitar players out there. I had no idea until I saw him live.

I certainly wouldn't mind PJ at Roo, even though I kinda gave up on their albums after Vitalogy. I recall reading back in 2005 that the two bands the promoters most wanted to have headline were Radiohead and Pearl Jam. We all know Radiohead kicked ass in 2006, but Pearl Jam has yet to play. I think next year will be the year.
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it
Love Mike McCready (of course, I always go for the guitar guys and agree he IS one of the most underrated guitarists around) and LOVE LOVE Matt Cameron from his Soundgarden days...he is DEFINITELY one of the most underrated drummers out there today....not the biggest Eddie Vedder fan but I'd definitely check them out if they do the 'Roo......
goshdarn, do I love PJ. i saw them this fall, had craptastic nosebleed seats at the Verizon Center and it was just as awesome as when I had 10th row at Merriweather Post Pavilion like 10 years ago.
they're a great live band, they're politics seem to be getting a little annoying during their shows in the last few years... but can still rock the house...
Not a PJ fan, but they're no longer a deterrent for me. I used to be a big hater, but that honestly had less to do with them as much as the faux PJ crap that came after them. It'd be 50/50 as to whether or not I went to their set though, probably dependent largely on what night they played and what the late night schedule was like after them.
i chose take it or leave it. i also know nothing after vitology. i wouldnt mind seeing them. i can just think of ALOT of bands id rather see headline. id love to see them play the main stage before neil young headlines though. but put them on friday or saturday and it would be a huge step up from this years fri. and sat.
BTW- what the hell happened to pjgirl? havent seen her around in forever.

yes and all of you go listen to no code and yield right now.
Do this. These are PJ's two best albums.

That would be a GREAT headliner. If you haven't heard their newest album, check it out, it's great!
It's almost as good as No Code and Yield.
I really wish PJ would finally play Bonnaroo. THey've played the pseudo-fest Lollapalooza, now it's time for them to play "the greatest festival in the world." I'm surprised Ben Harper hasn't convinced them to play there yet.
I'd really like to see them get 2 nights headlining when they finally play Roo, but I guess I could settle for one. I'd also like to see Uncle Neil play Roo again PJ is there. If/When PJ does headline I will shell out the extra cash for VIP tickets.

Pearl Jam is one of my personal favorites from the 90s, just behind Phish and maybe Radiohead. Ive only seen PJ once at U.S. Bank arena in Cincinnati and they were nosebleed. Still a great show. My personal cd favorites are yield and binaural (high regards to every cd they put out including lost dogs). I would love the chance to see PJ up close and at a bonnaroo setting. I think they would make a great friday headline. Top 10 on my list to see including the reunion of Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, Jimi Hendrix, Grateful Dead, Blind Melon, and Dave Mustaine on lead guitar playing w/ Metallica. Most will never happen but I am hoping at least i can get a few of them down. lol

I'm a fan and have seen them more times than I care to count. I caught them at Lollapalooza last year, and they were great. BUT I'm not sure they are right for B'roo because I got kicked in the head quite a few times by crowd surfers, and that's really not what B'roo goers are looking for. I like Tool a lot, but their show last year didn't quite feel right. That said, why not give it a shot!
I just don't get the whole Pearl Jam thing. Not a fan. Never been one. And what's the deal with everyone thinking they'd play after Neil Young. No one plays after Neil Young. Except for late nights
