I've mentioned Peeping Tom many times, they've played other fests all over the place and I think they'd be awesome...anyone else want them at roo in '08?
Peeping Tom is Mike Patton's new band (of Faith No More, Fantomas, and Mr. Bungle fame). The album is chock full of collaborations, and has a very unique sound (like everything Patton does).
They were booked for last year's Vegoose, but pulled out. Shame. Anywho, would be awesome at Roo. I would hope that some of the album's guests show up.
I voted "who?" before seeing the video and now I feel like a total moron. Mike Patton in any form would be a most welcome addition and an absolute must-see if he were to show up at Roo '08.
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it

I know Im in the minority but PLEASE NO.
In my opinion, mike patton is one of the most overrated 'musicians' in all of music.
heresy!!
and wouldn't it be more accurate to refer to Patton as a vocalist?? you might find it harder to criticize him as overrated in that respect... though I'm sure you still would.
anyway, I suppose you'd prefer some Skid Row, so to each his own.

uhh lol what?
vocals are an instrument and thats just what I was criticizing. I think he's a joke and I dont really like anything he's been a part of aside from lovage and the DEP stuff being tolerable.
No need to directly take shots at other people's taste, bro. But yes, I would much prefer Skid Row over anything Mike Patton has done, including FNM and Bungle.
Oh shit, I forgot his stuff with John Zorn, but that doesnt really count. That stuff is great because its Zorn, not because of Patton.

my opinion on patton is, sure i can definitely understand someone not liking his music. but at the same time, the vocal talent is undeniable. like it or not, he can do some amazing things with his voice and he can flat out sing if he ever chooses to do that, which he hasn't lately.
