Well, "Is This It" is one of my favorite rock albums of the last ten years, but the last two albums have been average and below average, respectively. I'm voting yes because any chance to see any songs off of the first album is a must see for me.
^ I can see where you would come from though. The first one was incredibly simple, and with each album they got more technical and pollished.. I just loved how raw the first one was.

I don't care what anyone else says -- the Strokes are one the best around -- and Room on Fire is one of the best rock albums of recent history and in my top two or three of all time. I've seen them four or five times and went through a seriously obsessive fanboy stage a few years back. Hell, my girlfriend got my signed poster professionally framed for my birthday last year and it hangs right over our bed!

I've seen them at an outdoor show when they still did Music Midtown. They had a handle of Jack and passed it around until it was empty throughout the show.

I like the Strokes, but I haven't really listened to any of their new stuff.. so I would probably check them out if they came to Bonnaroo, but they wouldn't be outlined with smiley faces and hearts in the 'roo program! I'll save that for Ben Harper!
I'd catch them. I wasn't a fan at all of their last album (thought it sucked donkey balls), but I've also heard it translates pretty well live. When I saw them a few years back, they were playing stuff from their first two albums, and there was a night and day difference between the newer work and the older stuff (newer= WAAAAAAAY better live). So it seems like they're moving in a direction that caters to their live show and less to the studio which fits with Roo.
i voted yes. i dont like them all that much anymore but Is This It is one of my favorite albums. their newer stuff doesn't wow me as much, or something. either way, i said yes cause i've never seen them live and i've heard great things!
I don't see why people say such great things. When I saw them (fall 2002?) they were crap. The most inebriated band I have ever seen. I don't insist on musicians being stone cold sober when I see them, but they were all so trashed that night it definitely diminished their performance. I'ld give them another chance, though, so I went with #3.
