I think a little Parliament Funkadelic would be perfect for a late afternoon throw down. I'm disapointed I didn't make it to the Vibes this year, cause I really wanted to see P-Funk. Anyone else wanna get funky?

Be cool if they were the backing band for a saturday night hip hop x-travaganza. Otherwise-the heat would tear ol George up(more than the last ten years of crack has!). Some nights ya get the old George, and some nights ya get the ooooooold George. Pepper it with guests so ya don't tucker the ol' boy out, and my a$$ is shakin' it there all night !

I saw them several years ago at a free music fest at my college and it was awesome. Would love to see that again and this time with a crowd who appreciates them!
Seen 'em about 15 times in the last 20 years. Show has definitely suffered in the last 5 or more years. Some one off shows will still will sizzle yer foozle. saw several shows during a stint in the late 80's with Anthony and Flea of the Chilli Peppers as well as most of FishBone.

Gonna get me a double shot O' Funk next weekend ;D ;D ;D ;D Happy Happy Girl! P-Funk is getting the First-Ever-That-I-Can-Remember-In-Sixteen-Years 2X (double!) time slot at Big Spring Jam next Sat night!! Oh Yeah!!! 3 hours + of the George and the Funky Bunch! I've actually turned down free tickets to 2 seperate Clinton/P-funk shows in my life! At one (outdoor)show, I would've had a 'staff pass' and at the other show, I would've had 5th row seats! I had pretty good reasons to skip both but, come on, it's GEORGE CLINTON! (AND THEY WERE BOTH FREE!) How stupid am I?
Can I get a collective "JACKASS!!!" from my fellow Inforoosters? (I deserve it.)

OK, the 5th row seats I MIGHT give you a pass on with a good excuse....but the STAFF pass.....yeah I might have to give you a JACKASS shoutout for that one - just out of pure jealousy
