Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
You all undestand that we're talking about musicians. You can like them or not like them. It's that way with all artists. If you like them, it doesn't make you cool or a better person. And same if you don't like them. And if you like/dislike them and someone else dislikes/likes them, don't feel threatened. It's supposed to be fun and you can listen to and support whomever you like. To some of you, this will be obvious. To the rest, it's probably crazy talk. Now I'm going back to my Celine Dion at Red Rocks DVD and fock y'all.

1) Green Day, I think, is pop-punk. Musically they are much more closely tied to punk than any other musical style, and while they may brazenly defy many of the venerable punk philosophies, their music is still some form of punk. So, pop-punk, because it's very clean and melodic and overly-produced and, well, popular.
2) The day that Green Day appears at Coachella or Lolla is when we should fear them coming to Bonnaroo. If Top 40 music were a disease, then they would have a much weaker immune system than us.
Sure, I loved "Dookie" when I was 12 or something and their performance at Woodstock '94 looked like a lot of fun what with the mud fight and all, but anything after that I never even listened to, honestly. I wouldn't be excited to see them at Bonnaroo, but like someone else mentioned; if it was between Green Day, Dierks Bentley, Fountains of Wayne, Maroon 5, etc. I would choose Green Day every time. So, I guess what I'm saying here is...Bonnaroo could do much worse..and already have. So I wouldn't complain unless they inexplicably landed a headlining spot somehow. That'd be lame.

they put on a great live show so i say yes. the wonderful thing about bonnaroo is you DON'T have to see bands you don't like...go masturbate in your rv or tent if you can't find anything else to do

they put on an awesome show. they were playing operation ivy covers and a sweet version of "mashed potato" (whatever that song is). plus, who doesn't know thier hits?
i think it would be cool to have them, and i could see them opening for a headliner...but i agree that it might be wierd for them to actually headline one night.
Saw them a couple years ago b/c Jimmy Eat World was opening, and it was the most bloated, egomaniacal show I've ever seen. Billy Joe is a tool. No way.
Also, if they're so "anti-Bush" and "anti-War", why don't they show their faces at a rally

NO THANK YOU. I saw them live a few years ago, it was a sweet show. Do they belong at Bonnaroo? Absolutely NOT. When I think of Bonnaroo, I think of hippies, jambands, underground hip-hop, electronica, and smelling like ass. I do not think of skinny red ties and eyeliner.
well, you ask me why i'm drunk all the time it levels my head and eases my mind i just walk along and stroll and sing i see better days and i do better things
Nope....not cause it wouldn't work, but because I've seen them play to 200 people and I've seen them play to 70,000 people...the big show is very soul-less and icky (technical terms)
Besides...Rancid's reggae/ska vibe would work better at the roo, and wouldn't demand a headlining slot...I saw them play after Bjork and before the Beastie Boys at a festival once....believe me, they can play on an eclectic bill like Bonnaroo.
I like Dookie and Insomniac, but every album after that has been downhill in my eyes. Cannot stand American Idiot. I think it's awful, just my two cents. Certainly would not fit the Bonnaroo vibe, I don't think. Please no.
