Muse was amazing at Lolla. I dont think headlining is an option, but with their stage setup/lights show, they could EASILY play the FLips spot of this year....Bring on Muse!
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it

I love the old Muse. I don't know what they were thinking with this last CD, personally, but who knows. If they played their older stuff I'd definitely be there rocking out

I agree. Showbiz, Origin of Symmetry, and Absolution dumbfounded me, but Black Holes & Revelations...? Wtf, Muse. I still have trouble getting through the whole album without getting bored.

Muse blew my mind for 3 nights in a row. First time at Mesa, AZ last Thursday then again at Irvine, CA on following night then finally, last night, they were even at their most amazing form @ Street Scene.

^^^Yeah, I think that's the ticket. They could probably headline a British or European fest, but not Bonnaroo... not yet. Jerzee is right, they'd close out Which or be a pre-headliner. (hey, would warm up for Zeppelin nicely!)
For me, it's nothing against their musical abilities. It's just I can't tune out the lyrics. It's like Kings of Leon. I can dig it until I understand what the guy's singing and then it kind of starts to turn me off...
But yeah, I wouldn't mind. Just wouldn't prefer it.
my vote is yes ... not a headliner but very into the idea of a late night muse set. caught them with cwk in dc months ago ... and that may go down as my show of the year.

*With the exception of "Knights Of Cydonia", of course. That song was Black Holes & Revelations' saving grace, and was the only good song on that album.
