When I was about 8 I saw Meatloaf on TV. It was the performance of "Paradise By The Dashboard Light". I was a sheltered child so the image of this big sweaty guy and that little satin panted chick (I forget her name) singing their asses off made quite an impression. It was one of my first experiences with that kind of energy. I distinctly remember feeling like there was a much more exciting, passionate world out there... that was also a little dirty. Meatloaf opened that Pandora's box for me.
Still, I don't think he should do 'Roo. It's not his thing.

Would he let me jump up on stage and sing Paradise By the Dashboard Light into a spoon surrounded by hot chicks all singing and acting out the girl parts? (they got pretty vicious sometimes during the whole stop right there part) Growing up on Long island, I did that at (at least) a dozen Bar/Batmitzvahs and Sweet 16's. It was my thing, and the ladies loved it Now THAT would be a show you'd all enjoy... there's definitely videotapes of it still in the world somewhere... hey, I wonder if it's somewhere on youtube?
