hell yes, the postal service is bad ass. The two main people from it have already played Bonnaroo with Death Cab For Cutie and Rilo Kiley.
They are great. They mix in old NES music in some of their tracks. The chic in the band is the one from the movie "The Wizard" with Fred Savage, for any of you that remember the Super Mario 3 craze like I do. I don't really like Death Cab, but the dude's voice works for me over the digitized tracks. Such Great Heights, Nothing Better, DC Sleeps Tonight are great cuts. Hell the entire "Give Up" album is enchanting.

Jenny Lewis only did vocals on a couple songs. Jimmy Tamborello is the other member of Postal Service, and falls squarely in the laptop/IDM category.
And no, I don't think Postal Service is an act I'd like to see at Bonnaroo. They aren't really a live act. It'd be like having Aphex Twin play, not all that entertaining to watch a guy work IDM on a lap top...

I just couldn't see myself taking time out of the busy 'Roo schedule to see their show. From what I've heard it seems like it would be lifeless and mundane compared to all the other acts that are going to be there. Nothing against their music, there's a lot of talent in the song writing, I just don't see it being that great of a show.
