Sadly at Bonnaroo 2007 Ornette Coleman suffered a heat stroke and could only perform for 45 minutes. However for that 45 minutes, I heard the best music I have ever heard in my life. I think Bonnaroo should try to bring him back and make a effort to make sure another incident like last time won't happen. Bonnaroo needs Ornette Coleman.
Yeah, but in an airconditioned tent this time around. Him passing out this year really scared me. I didn't now if he was alive or dead for a couple of days.

Absolutely he deserves another chance, if he wants it. Regardless, I hope they take the steps to better insure the talent's health and safety (and ours, as well)!
But still, how about some fresh faces? There are other legends of jazz and avant-garde music that Bonnaroo could and should get. I for one would be thrilled to see Anthony Braxton in some form.
