yes, but i think its more likely we will see a superjam with Plant and JPJ. I say they don't bill them as the headliner and let what members do show up jam around with people and play the superjam to blow everyone away.

i say no let the super jam be built around plant. There are other fully capable artists at roo that can pull off some zep covers, a la Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks, Victor Wooten, etc etc etc Replacing the drummer would be the most difficult part, zeppelin covers arent worth playing unless you got the right man/woman on the skins, imo
no if they did im afraid most of the tickets would go to rich middle aged business men who would show up for zeppelin then leave. im liking that superjam idea, that would make the most sense. if they do headline ill hope for the best though.

yo man. do you even realize that zeppelin is spanning into it's 3rd generation?? THIRD BRO! do you really think most zeppelin fans are "rich middle aged business men"?? and that they are going to buy "most" of the tickets? and then just turn around and go home when the lights go on? get real.
There will be 80,000+ tickets out there....Tickets arent going to be THAT hard to get. And so what if ticket prices will go up? It would certainly be worth it. In my opinion, at least.

just like the police last year huh?
Um...I think he's talking more about the price....lots of high school kids dig The Stones too...but they're not spending $500 per ticket to see them when they tour...Zep would command the same kind of pricing...and the same middle aged rich business men would pay it.

yea, sorry i over reacted. but if high school kids really liked a band enough, they would go. they would find a way. just don't label one bands fans in one category is all i'm saying.
These things are funny to a point. It really forces you to put your foot down and think about the fact that if this happens ... so could this. While if they play I personally feel like tickets will go up. Not the 500 dollars stated earlier in the thread but the will go up. The problem is that even though there are 80k tickets ( a number that I think will increase as well) there were over 2 million requests for tickets for the show this December. With tickets priced around 250 dollars. I honestly don't care anymore. I'm gonna get a ticket. So I voted we will see.

Did you go last year? People said the same thing about TOOL, and did all the TOOL fans ruin roo? nope.

zeppelin is waaaay bigger than the police. all im saying is that when the average resale ticket price for there reunion gig in London was $14,000 , a $300 ticket to bonnaroo and a plane ticket to Tennessee looks pretty attractive in comparison

Personally, I'd rather not have two Zeppelin-themed superjams in a row! Just because LZ could arguably be the greatest band ever doesn't mean Superfly can't spice things up a bit.
And as for headlining... I'm planning on being there whether Zep is or not. I guess I'm impartial you could say.
I'd love to see them, but my "yes" depends on how Superfly handles the announcement/whether or not Zeppelin tours afterwards. As for ticket prices, as long as they don't rise too much I wouldn't really mind.
